1. About this site

Cat Arcade provides free, browser-based games and written guides about arcade and browser gaming. There is no account, no subscription and no purchase. The site is provided as-is for personal, non-commercial entertainment.

2. Acceptable use

You may use the site for your own enjoyment. You may not:

  • Copy, redistribute, rehost or resell the games, their code, or the written content on this site.
  • Frame, embed or present the games as if they were part of another site.
  • Attempt to interfere with the operation of the site, or to gain access to any system or data not intentionally made available.
  • Use automated tools to scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other visitors.
  • Remove, obscure or alter any copyright or attribution notice.

3. Intellectual property

All games, game code, artwork, illustrations, written articles, page copy and design on this site are original work created for Cat Arcade and are protected by copyright. You may link to any page freely, and you may quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce a whole article or any game.

We do not use third-party game assets, characters, logos, screenshots or brand names on this site. If you believe something here infringes your rights, tell us through the contact page with enough detail to identify the material and we will investigate promptly.

4. Your data and your scores

High scores, level progress and preferences are stored in your own browser and are not held by us. We cannot restore them if you clear your browser data, change device or use a private window. This is explained in the privacy policy.

5. Availability

We make no guarantee that the site will be available without interruption, that it will work on every browser or device, or that the games are free of defects. Browsers change, and small games occasionally break. Reports of problems are welcome and are usually fixed quickly, but no service level is promised.

6. Accuracy of content

We take accuracy seriously and describe our process in the editorial policy. Even so, articles may contain errors, and advice about how to play a game is opinion formed from testing rather than a guaranteed result. Content is provided for general information and entertainment.

The site may link to third-party websites and may display advertising served by third parties. We do not control those sites or that advertising, do not endorse them by linking or displaying them, and are not responsible for their content, products or practices. Following an external link is at your own discretion.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cat Arcade and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including loss of data such as saved scores. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the updated terms.
